Everyone loves to travel but sometimes, at least some of us, may have to do it on a budget. But even when we travel our body and mind may want that little bit of a luxury and this extra adventure, that our pocket may not be able to afford.

You can do it with little money in your pocket, and it is your mind which can "pay the bills".  We do just this. So how can you try the best cuisine, dine in the most amazing places, visit the most exciting tourist attractions without parting with any money.

We are often asked by the fellow travellers how they can do the same.  well here it is - how we do it and how you can do it too.

We love to travel but travelling is more than just fun and experience to us.  We have to travel in order to be able to do a cultural educational project for children, project design to help them understand different attitudes and ways of life and to make them more open minded and tolerant.  It's a non-profit initiative the effects of which you can see on www.itsteddy.com. The problem with non-profit initiatives is, however, that it can be hard to find enough funding, especially if you are small and don't have a very big PR budget. So, we decided to ask tourism and hospitality operators to help and we got more than we expected.

At some point we started writing tourism reviews to thank our hosts. This brought us new opportunities. The world is just not made up of philanthropists and idealists. The companies who expected some benefits from supporting us got a fair deal.  We offered them write ups, photos and exposure on our website, in some cases also PR advice and if they liked it they offered us "stuff". The stuff ranged from bunks in hostels to beds in five star hotels, traditional feasts to 5 course meals with matching wine, ocean dives to canyon swings, swimming with whales to snorkelling with dolphins and heaps of other crazy things.  We enjoyed it all and gave back to the best of our ability.

So now we think that you may, just may, want to perhaps do the same.

You may not need to travel for any "higher purpose" but traveling is always fun and it's always good. It broadens our horizons and so to help you travel and experience all you can is a good thing too, isn't it. Additionaly one could argue that, even though by sponsoring you, the operators don't directly support any worthline initiative, they still help our project in some way. We hope that at some stage, this website will grow with your and their help and help us raise some funding to develop the project further.

Anyway in your case the deal is just fair and square. You can use our website and write your own reviews and offer exposure to the tourism and hospitality operators who, in return can offer you their services free of charge or at a big discount. Just approach them and show them what you can do for them, see if they are interested in the exchange and enjoy whatever they have to offer and then give back to them by trying to promote them the best you can. it's fun, it helps you and them and it is actually really satisfying. you can not only experience things, you can often experience them better and then remember them better by doing the write up and by sharing your experience with fellow travelers or tourists.
